Hi Guys,

I have never been more excited to announce anything…. I was just in Virginia working with the extremely talented Austin Bello to finish up recording the last few songs for my DEBUT album, that I will be releasing before the end of the year. I have waited years to be able to announce something like this, but I am beyond excited to say that the moment has come.

As a singer, it took me so long to find my voice and find where I belong vocally. As I went through love and loss, I developed a need to write my feelings out – to play piano and sing through my pain and heartache. And through that journey, my love of songwriting was born.  I have definitely gotten more confident in writing songs and being open to share them… Im still in the stages of naming the album and putting the track list order together, but I know by the end of 2018 I will have a physical album that documents my journey of heartache, love, loss and self discovery throughout the past few years.

I cant wait to share it with you all and finally get my music out there!

Debut show in New York

So, after years of putting it off and procrastinating (letting my fears get the best of me), I have finally organized/put together my FIRST EVER SHOW here in New York. I will be performing some original songs as well as some covers.

I am so nervous and excited, this is a huge step for me and a chance for me to show my music before I release an EP later this year…

The show will be held at the Duplex Cabaret Bar in New York on July 24th 2018 at 7pm. You can buy your tickets here:

I look forward to seeing some of you there!

Your Husband Is Cheating On Us

Last summer I moved into a house on the Upper East Side to rehearse and put together a new play called “Your Husband Is Cheating On Us”. The rehearsal process was simultaneously being filmed for BravoTV and finally aired at 9pm last Sunday (April 1st).

This whole experience was scary, exciting, fun, horrible, traumatic, life changing and made me a far stronger person.

I was in the house with several theatre and performance veterans like Ginuwine, Lia Grant, Tony Gallant, D’Atra Hicks and Jermaine Sellers. Did I mention we shared a house with ALL THEIR BAGGAGE. 20+ years of baggage.

As a very private person, I found it very hard to be vulnerable and present in front of cameras 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. But through everything I learned a lot about myself and came out knowing exactly what I want to do with my life. I will not give up on my dream no matter what anyone tells me.

This show is a really great look behind teh scenes of the rehearsal process, and I would love your support! Watch the show on Bravo at 9pm Sundays.

National Commercial

Classic Kristen, its been such a long time since I last updated… It has been an incredibly exciting and busy couple of months. One project, I cant talk about yet, but as soon as I’m given the green light, I will be sure to fill you all in!

The second, is a NATIONAL TV COMMERCIAL I shot recently for clothing company, Dia & Co. It has been airing all over the country on various channels, and I am so excited. This is my first project with national exposure. The shoot itself was so fun, and I had such a blast on set. Fun fact: The reason I knew it had aired, is because I was on a plane heading to Houston for one of mt best friends weddings, and JetBlue plays regular TV, so while watching a cooking show, I heard my voice and realised it was me on the screen. It was such an incredible moment for me, and I was so happy to finally see a little bit of my hard work pay off. It has pushed me even harder to create more of those moments for myself, and to keep chasing my dream.

For those of you who havent seen it, you can see the full commercial here:

As soon as I can update you on whats coming up, I will be sure to share the news, but in the mean time, stay positive and keep chasing your dreams, whatever they may be!

Fashion Without Limits/ Hello, Summer!

Modeling Contract

I have some very exciting news to share!

Those of you that know me, know how much I love fashion and how much I love beauty. I always take time to present myself in a clean and well-manicured way – I enjoy the process of getting ready (whether it be for a night out, or for a day in the city!)…. So, I am really excited to announce that I have signed with True Model Management here in New York, to be represented in Print, Fit, Editorial and Fashion. Its been a few weeks in progress but the paperwork is finalized and I will be doing my test shoot for my press packages and promotions in the coming weeks. This company is so great, and have welcomed me with open arms… I am so excited to start working with them to build my portfolio and develop myself as a model.

I have been freelancing for a while, and have been developing my skills slowly, but I am really excited to have such a wonderful team behind me to point me in the right direction and give me the tools needed to step up to the next level of the modeling world. As soon as I have some shots to share, I will definitely post them, but in the meantime – my Instagram posts of some of my favorite outfits may have to do!

The city has been so hot and cold lately -literally!- that its been hard to keep up with what to wear and how to dress (its so hard to look nice when there is snow blowing in your face). But, I love the snow so I’m not complaining, I just wish it was a more consistent temperature… Is that too much to ask for?

Anyway, I just wanted to share my news and keep you updated on my life and whats ahead! Stay tuned for more exciting news to come!

Long time, no speak……

Well, I’ll be the first to say its been a long time. I kind of disappeared and got caught up in surviving New York City life (financially and emotionally). SO much has happened….. But what an experience it has been. I have fallen in love, moved house and been songwriting A LOT! Thats a great thing, because soon I will be releasing some of my music… A long time ago I bought some recording equipment and have been spending some days using that and making my own tracks for demo’s of my songs. It has not been easy, and it is something that takes practice, but I am working hard on getting that done!

Growing up, I wrote songs but I never really liked them, I would never perform them, or admit that I was even writing. I was embarrassed to share any songs with anyone. But these days I have been so proud of what I’ve been writing, it is all incredibly personal, and has been like a therapy for me through some really hard times. Music really can help you heal. It is like that friend that is always there to listen, you just talk and talk, and work through your issues and feel like you’re in a safe space.

I have been doing some modelling, which has been so much fun! I love modelling. Again, I had a tough time with it growing up because I was never comfortable with my body. I was never one of those people with confidence in themselves, or their appearance. But that has changed a lot, and moving New York was a huge part of that. I have learned to love myself and my body. I have learned to accept who I am, which is by far one of the most important things we can do. Much like the frequently quoted saying “no one will love you until you learn to love yourself”, no one else is going to respect you or your body, if you won’t. It starts and ends with you! This was such an important lesson for me, and its a journey I’m still on, but one that I have made such great progress in. I have posted some modelling photos to my “Pictures” section – so please feel free to check them out.

So, here is to 2017. A better year. The year that I release some of my own music and continue to chase my dream. Stay tuned, because I’m really excited for what’s in store….

Web-series and Off-Broadway

So, It has been a long time since I have updated my website – I have been busy doing some recording (Tracks to follow), I have also been filming a web-series called “Telemazing” and I was in an Off-Broadway show called “My Grandmother Prayed for Me”. Things have been really full on, but incredibly fun. I love being busy when I’m doing what I love:)

The web-series has been so much fun, its a group of 20 somethings in New York and we all talk about television and characters and such – its a great opportunity. I’m having so much fun, and I get to be myself on camera and just talk and really have fun! Its been such an incredible experience. To see a little of what I’m doing, here is a link to a video where I talk about the Top 5 Shows if you break out into song (Or like music). So please check that out!

As I mentioned, I am also recording right now – and that has been quite the experience.. Things are really good for me right now and I am excited to see what else is coming up for me:)

Stay tuned….

More NY Performances

So, things have been getting very exciting for me – last week I was in a play called “The Distance in Space”,  at the Players Theatre, in the West Village. It was so much fun to be a part of another production. Below is a photo of the cast and I.

I have also just received confirmation that I am in a staged reading of a brand new musical next month – called “This Time”. It will be playing in New York, and I am really excited to be a part of the project. Things are really looking up for me – many exciting things ahead!!

Stay tuned for more information.

My NYC Off-Broadway Debut

So, I have been cast in an Off-Broadway show, called “Jury Duty” and I am the judge. The show is directed by famed personality JD Lawrence. I am so excited, rehearsals are in full swing, and things are looking really good. We premiere on the 24th August at the famed BB Kings Blues Club in Times Square. This is such an incredible opportunity for me and I’m so glad I get to be a part of it. Considering its my first theatre show out of the Academy, I’m so blessed that it is such a big production. We are hoping to take it on a National Tour and continue to perform it. I have attached some photos of the show, and a snippet of a song I sing in it.
